The SimmerPot uses a 320W heating element wrapped around a 7-quart glazed stoneware insert that goes from the cooker base into a 400F oven or under the broiler for browning. A digital control panel programs cook times up to 20 hours across low, high, and warm settings, and automatically shifts to keep-warm when the timer ends so dinner does not overcook while you're out. The tempered glass lid locks onto rubber gaskets in the rim, making the whole 15.9 x 12.3 x 13.7 inch unit spill-resistant for transporting casseroles and chilis to potlucks.
